Minot State University

FAQ for New Student Orientation

On April 9th, 2025, Minot State (MiSU) held an event for new students registering to attend the university and allowed them to meet with an academic advisor one-on-one to discuss academic requirements, create their class schedule, and ask questions.

With supervision from the MiSU Marketing director, Cole Krueger, and the Looyenga Leadership Center director, Jim Sturm, I've directed and produced this video featuring 6 MiSU students to answer frequently asked questions regarding Minot State and ways to be successful in college. The marketing department presented the resulting video to hundreds of incoming MiSU students during orientation.

MiSU University Communications

Onward Beavers Series

Onward Beavers is a video series created by Minot State's University Communications team that highlight and celebrate the achievements, experiences, and contributions of its students, alumni, and faculty.

I edited two episodes for this series: one highlighting Minot State's current Marketing Director (as of January 2025), Cole Krueger, and the other is a senior nursing student, Hannah Hagen. I was in charge of recording and collecting B-roll and photos that fits both interviews overall, while also editing and transcribing the videos for Minot State's YouTube channel.

Special Thanks to Minot State's Alumni Association, Enrollment Office, Marketing Office, Professional Communications Department, Department of Nursing, Trinity Health, and The Creative Treatment. Directed by Michael Linnell. Filmed by Michael Linnell, Joshua Tu, & Veronica Corey. Edited by Joshua Tu. Additional photos, graphics, and assets by Cole Krueger, Rick Heit, Veronica Corey, the Gordon B. Olson Library, Union Silos Minot, Hannah Hagen, Trinity Health, and The Creative Treatment. Death Trap Duels

Season 4 Hype Video

Death Trap Duels is a tournament created by Forever & Ever, a record label specializing in the "Death Trap" music genre. This tournament involves music producers battling head to head in a beat cypher-like style until one is crowned the winner.

I made this video to help promote the tournament's 4th season and get producers excited to participate. The overall video was inspired by 1990 PC BIOS bootup screens and the analog horror genre in mind, while presenting a modern and simplistic look.
